Through a mistake by the Department of Transportation, the median was approved and built at approximately half the originally planned length.
Another part of this project that was agreed to but not completed was a planned traffic light and crosswalk across Cahuenga Boulevard West from approximately Theatre West to the Panasonic Parking lot. This project is back on track and will provide a safe crossing for pedestrians and theatergoers, particularly parties of children attending the weekend fairy tale productions at the theater.
Our CPPOA board has been dedicated to seeing these projects through to completion by keeping the process alive with our city officials and council office. With the permit process now nearing completion, the end is in sight and we all look forward to a beautifully landscaped median and additional safety measures for our community.
